Nocturnes sung at the Panthéon in Paris
In October 2020, do not miss the six sung nocturnes of the Pantheon performed by the tenor-guide speaker Grégoire Ichou. When the monument closes, they will meet you for a musical journey through time and space at 7:30 p.m.
From Luigi Cherubini and his hymn to the Pantheon to a Polish song by Francis Poulenc to evoke Marie Curie through the melody of Ernest Riché composed during Victor Hugo's funeral, a stroll in the nave and in the crypt will invite you to browse through the turbulent history of the Pantheon, its decorations and its illustrious residents.
The sung nocturnes will interweave music and explanations, melodies and anecdotes, in order to evoke and illustrate by voice the monument, from its origins.
