A rising figure in street art in France, Hopare is the pseudonym borrowed by Alexandre Monteiro. The sculptor offers you 5 unstructured bronze portraits, one of them is 3 meters high. This exhibition is opposite of the Place du Louvre colonnade, from March 23 until May 30, 2021.
His bronze sculptures give him the opportunity to further explore the formal possibilities of the dissociation between the face and its envelope. The surrounding air makes the harshness of the metal metamorphose into scraps of gold leaves, which we don’t know whether they cover the face or emanate from it, thus bringing bronze to a state of fragility never seen before.
